Private Commissions One-of-a-Kind Sculpture
I recently started a new line of Art Work, I am offering Private Commission Sculptures, for the special Art Collector who wishes to have a One-of-a-Kind Sculpture. You will be the sole owner of the piece. You get to decide the number of Limited Editions, patina, size, base, subject, etc. You may decide to order more than one limited edition, perhaps one per child as a family heirloom, to donate a piece, or to sell down the road and cover the cost. Doesn't get more exclusive or valuable than this.
You may commission a sculpture for the interior of your home, home garden; a fountain; office entrance; in front of your office building; as a donation; as a gift, etc. Your imagination is the only limit. No size is too big or small. If you can think it, I can sculpt it. I am a trained classical sculptor, I specialize in the human figure and animals. There is nothing I can’t sculpt. I am not limited to the classical style either. As you can see from my work, I love Art Deco, Modern and Abstract styles. I ship everywhere.
Just call me to discuss what you envision. For example, if you have a company and plan to place a sculpture in its lobby, let’s discuss what your company represents, its values, and the image you'd like to project. Are there symbols you'd like to incorporate? What scale do you want the sculpture to be? We can brainstorm together and I'll come up with the design drawing for your final approval.
If the sculpture you want to commission is of a loved one or an historical figure, let’s discuss the pose and gesture. How much of the body to be depicted? Full body or a bust? Do you want a nude, semi-nude, or clothed sculpture? Any particular style of clothing or personal jewelry you have in mind?
I will work off of pictures and videos you send me. After our initial conversation, I'll draw a preliminary sculpture design and send it to you for your critique and approval. Once you approve the final design drawing in writing, I start sculpting. I will be sending you photos of the work in progress to make sure we are still on the same page. The preliminary design drawing is usually 90% similar to the finished sculpture. When I begin sculpting, the interaction with the piece and medium may change a few of the original details but it’s usually for the better. I am a sculptor, the clay speaks to me in a way the pencil doesn't.
1- Call me, send me photos (and videos if you have any) and let’s discuss what you have in mind.
2- I will give you an estimate of the cost. The cost is broken down into: What I charge for creating the sculpture and the foundry's cost of making the mold, bronze cast, and patina (plus applicable sales tax.)
3- After you approve my drawing, a 1/3 deposit is required. Once received, I start sculpting the piece.
4- After I finish sculpting and it's approved by you for casting, a second 1/3 deposit is required.
5- Once the foundry finishes casting the bronze, the full payment balance is required before I mail the piece.
6- Cost of shipping, packaging, and full insurance is included in the price.
My latest Private Commission was a surprise birthday present for the gentleman's wife. My client sent me photos and a video of his wife's face to help me better depict her likeness. She is from Cambodia so I searched her country’s national flower to incorporate in the sculpture. I placed two of Cambodia's national flowers on her heart, to represent the love between her and her husband, and I placed two more flowers over her pelvis to represent both of their children. She is a Buddhist so we decided to pose her in a peaceful praying pose. I included my original design of the Buddhist wheel on the back. I had her emerging from a Lotus flower, also a symbol of her religion. You may not be able to see it in the photo but I included her favorite ring, earrings, and necklace in the sculpture. Her husband described her as a very calm, reflective, and sensuous woman so I designed a beautiful feminine outfit which shows her body in a very sensual and elegant way. Below are the photos of the piece I am describing. Sorry for the low quality photos. They were taken at my studio of the original piece. As soon as it comes out of the foundry I will post professional quality photos of the bronze atop an elegant 2" marble base.
Total height with the base will be 26" H
If this is something that interests you, just give me a call. Photos and references upon request.
