I was inspired by Rodin’s Burghers of Calais. Each figure represents the moment when a person hits rock bottom. At this very moment you have one decision to make, you either go down further and kill yourself, or stand up and fight. This gesture depicts the exact moment where these Survivors decide to fight back.
